Calum
Calum specialises in Traditional and Neotraditional tattoos and loves to work in bright, bold colours. His influences range from classic western tattoo imagery - to traditional artwork and crafts from around the world, which he loves to reimagine in his own bold, graphic style. He also enjoys doing freehand tattoos and drawing directly on to the clients skin for a truly one off piece designed to fit the body perfectly
Calum is always happy to take on all sorts of styles, and in his 9+ year career has done everything from Black and grey to watercolour tattoos. Calum enjoys using the versatility and skills he has developed to work with clients to design and create tattoos that they love. Whether it’s a Neotrad backpiece, a traditional sleeve, fineline floral tattoos, meaningful memorial pieces, anime/gaming tattoos or coverups and reworks, Calum always tries to create pieces that go beyond the clients expectations while keeping to the fundamentals that help a tattoo hold up in the long run.
Calum apprenticed originally in Hanoi, Vietnam and worked there for a few years until returning to his native Scotland, after a few more years and a couple of lockdowns there he changed direction and began to focus on more traditional style tattooing. Calum then moved to Bristol in 2021 and since opening Six Hands Tattoo in April of 2024 he has continued to push his creativity and career while working with Alex and Matt to create a inspiring and welcoming studio for all.
